Imam Reza shrine to host young girls on Hazrat Masoumeh birth anniv.

The holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Iran’s northeast city of Mashhad will be marking the birth anniversary of Hazrat Masoumeh (AS) in a ceremony to be attended by young girls from different countries.

Deputy Office for International Pilgrims Affairs sponsors the ceremony for the young girls from 15 Islamic countries on the auspicious occasion also dubbed as “Girls’ Day”, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
A mission at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) is to mark the coming of age for young Muslim boys and girls reaching the age of religious puberty.
 
This year the celebration for the young girls is held concurrent with the birth anniversary of Hazrat Masoumeh (AS), sister of Imam Reza and granddaughter of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
 
The ten days between the birth anniversary of the lady and her brother, Imam Reza (AS) is known as the Ten Days of Karamat (munificence) as was the character of both Islamic figures.
 
The holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (AS) is located in Iran’s holy city of Qom.
