American activists launch campaign to protect Palestinian schools ahead of Israeli demolition

A group of American pro-Palestine activists have launched a campaign to demand members of the Congress for measures to intervene with demolition of Palestinian schools by Israeli forces.

The move has come through an online petition, signed by over 5,000 American citizens, saying that the demolition orders against 58 Palestinian schools in the West Bank and Jerusalem have been issued.
 
The activists mentioned, in their petition, that the elementary schools of Jubbet ad-Dib in Bethlehem are threatened with demolition no later than May 7. The date is according to a court order issued by Israeli court.
 
Israeli forces have repeatedly demolished Palestinian schools across the occupied West Bank.
 
Several Palestinian families had to make the difficult choice between remaining in their homeland or moving for the sake of their children’s future.
