Establishing new Islamic civilization summons Shia-Sunni cooperation

Speaking at the scientific meeting on “Unity and Convergence of Muslims in Forming New Islamic Civilization and Human Rights” in Gorgan said one cannot claim establishment of new Islamic civilization without close cooperation among all ethnical groups and Islamic denominations, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

According to the Shia scholar unity is translated to creating solidarity and compassion among people.

He added,” The first step in achieving new Islamic civilization is not to kill each other, avoid terror or Takfir (excommunication) and in the third step avoid desecrating each other’s religious sanctities.”

The cleric hailed the Sunni seminaries in Golestan Province where they can train clerics according to their denominations and stressed,” If the system prevents that then it will no longer be a just system.”

Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought condemned the western countries as the biggest violators of human rights in the world while they accuse anyone who goes against their version of human rights.

The comments by Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari were given in a meeting held at Al-Mustafa International University in Gorgan.

The meeting titled “Unity and Convergence of Muslims in Forming New Islamic Civilization in Human Rights” was held on the sideline of the second Regional Islamic Unity Conference held in Iran’s northern Province of Golestan on Tuesday.
