Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in a meeting with Gholamreza Abazari, Iran’s cultural attaché in Baghdad announcing that Iran’s northern province of Golestan will be hosting the second regional Islamic unity event to be held online and in presence, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The clerics also discussed the different aspects of the next regional Islamic unity conference including the prominent religious figures, muftis and heads of the Islamic societies.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari said that although the number of guests invited to the annual Islamic Unity Conference has been reduced in the latest event, the quality has been satisfying and regional and provincial conferences are being scheduled.
 
A number of Iranian and Iraqi scholars and elites from different Islamic denominations attended the first regional Islamic unity conference held in Iran’s Kurdistan province in July 2022.
