On the eve of the holy lunar month of Safar and Arba’een rally in Iran and Iraq, Imam Reza holy shrine has launched a popular campaign of “Donation of Water” for participants of Arba’een rally.

Imam Reza holy shrine has always been setting up mourning stations called Mukibs at various points of the border and in the Iraqi land.

This year, however, a new initiative has been introduced so that the public can participate in hosting and offering better services to the marching pilgrims of Imam Hussein (AS).

The campaign provides the opportunity for each person to have a share in supplying required drinking water for mourning pilgrims of Imam Hussein (AS). The bottles of drinking water will be distributed among the people by Imam Reza shrine’s servants.

Therefore, it is now possible for all the public to participate in hosting Arba’een pilgrims. Those interested can have an online donation at https://donate.razavi.ir .

The great march of Arba’een is annually held concurrent with the 40th day after martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) as millions of Muslims from across the globe reach for pilgrims who walk the entire or part of the way towards the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) in Karbala.

Local people in cities en route to Karbala, organizations and different groups of people serve the pilgrims taking the long walk.
