14 May 2022 - 21:33

Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade urged increasing Iran and Cuba's economic relations along with their political ones.

Interviewing with Iran Press, the Iranian minister stated that both parties discussed and evaluated various cooperation issues, including mine, metals, home appliances, oil, gas and medicine.
Fatemi-Amin noted that 30 cooperation issues were pointed out and discussed before holding the official meeting, and Iranian-Cuban companies would handle the cooperation fields.
He also highlighted Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas' insistence on planning and implementing the pointed cooperation fields.
"The minister of health on behalf of our country and the deputy prime minister on behalf of Cuba are responsible for holding a joint commission," Fatemi-Amin added.
The commission is scheduled to hold 21 specialized committees in various fields such as trade, investment, transit and transportation, electricity and energy, oil and gas, customs, banking and finance, health standards and other important issues.
The Cuban deputy prime minister started an official visit to Iran on Friday, heading his country's delegation to the 18th Session of the Iran-Cuba Intergovernmental Commission.
The Cuban delegation will hold working meetings with top Iranian government authorities to review the state of economic, commercial and cooperation relations.
The 17th meeting of the Joint Commission of the two countries was held in January 2016 in Havana.
