Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has planted two fruit saplings on Sunday to mark the National Arbor Day in Iran.

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei planted two fruit saplings on Sunday morning to mark the National Arbor Day in Iran stressing tree planting a religious and revolutionary move, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The Leader called plants as tranquilizer of soul and a blessing from the Almighty God for human beings.
 
Supreme Leader warned of deforestation and any harm to environment as destruction of national resources.
 
Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted importance of protecting water and soil as two vital resources for all nations warning of over consumption of the national resources by people.
 
"Protection of wild life" was the other issue underlined by Ayatollah Khamenei as the Leader said," Hunting is permitted in Islam only for dire feeding necessities" and urged for protection of the wild life.
 
The Leader also congratulated Iranian nation on birth anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
