Prominent scholars from Kermanshah to attend Islamic Unity Conference
Executive secretary of Islamic Unity Week in Kermanshah defined the programs to be performed in the Sunni-dominated Iranian province and that seven prominent religious figures will be attending the annual Islamic Unity Conference to be held by the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in the capital Tehran.

Ahmad Muhammadi, executive secretary of the programs for Islamic Unity Week in Kermanshah referred to the latest plots hatched by the Israeli regime stressing that the occasion will be particularly marked by the Shia and Sunni community in Kermanshah, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Attending a press conference held at the bureau of the Supreme Leader in Sunni affairs in Kermanshah, Ahmad Muhammadi noted," It is necessary that the role of Islamic denominations and national solidarity, both of which are dire demands of the Muslim world, should be defined and the plots by enemies should be foiled."
He said that the objectives of naming and commemorating the Islamic Unity Week is to highlight the national and Islamic values, recognition of Shia and Sunni figures, boosting solidarity among all Muslims and increasing knowledge on religious commonalities with other denominations among many objectives.
He referred to several programs, interviews, webinars and commemoration ceremonies which will focus on the high character of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and the Islamic Unity Week.
According to the executive secretary of the Islamic Unity Week in Kermanshah, more than 200 Shia and Sunni figures will attend a webinar and seven religious leaders will be attending the annual Islamic Unity Conference to be held by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in the capital Tehran.
Each day of the Islamic Unity Week will be named after a renowned Shia or Sunni character and a particular theme will be discussed during the time.
Islamic Unity Week is the week ending in the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) following an inspiration by late Imam Khomeini (RA) who aimed to boost the solidarity between Shia and Sunni Muslims across the globe.
