“Ayat. Taskhiri, a perfect cultural, Islamic proximity figure”, cleric

The first passing anniversary of prominent Iranian cleric and advisor of the Supreme Leader in Muslim world affairs, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, was held in the Iranian holy city of Qom on Thursday.

A number of religious and political figures convened in a ceremony held in the city of Qom to pay tribute to the prominent Islamic unity figure and advisor of the Supreme Leader in Muslim world affairs on the first passing anniversary of late Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Razzaqi, the orator in this ceremony hailed late Ayatollah Taskhiri for spending his life time on promoting teachings of Ahlul Bayt (AS) and boosting solidarity among world Muslims.
 
He referred to the efforts by the late scholar serving the renowned Islamic unity center World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and also as the senior advisor of the Supreme Leader in Muslim world affairs.
 
“Since early Islam, disagreement and dispersion have been among the greatest challenges for the world of Islam” said Hujjat-ul-Islam Razzaqi and added,” Ayatollah Taskhiri made great efforts in line with promoting Islamic unity.”
 
The first passing anniversary of Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri was attended by a number of prominent religious and political figures among them Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, member of the Supreme Council of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and representatives of jurisprudents Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Sistani, Ayatollah Hussein Noori Hamedani and managers from the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
 
Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri passed away on 18 August 2020 due to heart disease and his body was laid to rest in the holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh in Qom.
