The Australian Fatwa Council (ANIC) has issued a statement on the eve of Eid al-Adha and the special ceremonies held to mark the occasion to highlight the particular protocols to be maintained during the Eid ceremonies.

The prominent Islamic council in Australia has announced that Muslims in the country will mark the Eid al-Adha on Tuesday maintaining the certain health protocols to prevent spread of COVID-19, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
State authorities in Australia have called on the Muslim community in the country to stay patient and cooperative with other parts of the country.
 
Australian authorities urged Muslims to maintain the preventive health protocols during the religious ceremonies, including Eid al-Adha.
 
The national council of prayer leaders in Australia and Australian Fatwa Council have stressed in a joint statement that Muslims will observe the health protocols for communal prayer and sacrifices on Eid al-Adha to be held on Tuesday.
 
Top mufti of Australia noted the restrictions imposed on the Muslims for the second year due to the COVID-19 conditions.
 
Other prayer leaders have announced that Muslims will stay committed to preventive measures during the Eid ceremonies and communal prayers will be held with restricted number of prayers while sacrifices will not be made in crowded places.
 
Muslims in Saudi Arabia have begun performing Hajj 2021 on Sunday permitting only 60,000 pilgrims from across the Arab kingdom due to the COVID-19 conditions.
