Bahraini Shia leader has issued a statement demanding release of political prisoners from al-Kalifa prison.

Sheikh Isa Qassim, in a recently issued statement called on al-Kalifa regime to release the political prisoners, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He referred to several rights of the people which have been trampled and gaining them should not be postponed anymore.
 
The statement issued by prominent cleric is issued as the condition for several detainees and political prisoners is complicated.
 
The Islamic Awakening in Bahrain has erupted in 2011 when the popular uprising against the crackdown by al-Kalifa regime began though it led to detention, torture and imprisonment of the freedom seekers demanding their rights in the Persian Gulf state.
 
Backed by the west and military assistance of Saudi Arabia, al-Kalifa regime is endeavoring to crackdown on any opposite voice.
