Senior Lebanese scholar Ahmad el-Zein passes away

Prominent Lebanese Sunni cleric and former Sharia judge of Sidon renowned for his anti-Zionism stance has passed away on Tuesday, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Late Ahmad al-Zein constantly supported the resistance as the sole way for liberation of the region from the "cancerous tumor of Zionism" and believed the Islamic Revolution in Iran was a prelude to liberation of holy Quds.
 
Head of the Association of Muslim Scholars said," Islamic Revolution in Iran had affected the world countries beyond its borders because it inspires the nations with believing themselves and fighting oppression."
 
Several Lebanese movements, intellectuals, political and religious figures from across the globe have extended condolences over the loss of a major anti-Zionism cleric.
