Christian leader hails Ayatollah Khamenei support for Armenians in Iran

Jathliq Aram Keshishian, head of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia has hailed the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei for supporting the Armenian community in Iran.

Abbas Khameyar, Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon conveyed the congratulation message issued for the New Year 2021 sent by Abouzar Ebrahimi Torkaman, head of Iran’s Islamic Culture and Communication Organization in a meeting with the senior catholic leader, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Catholicosate Aram Keshishian highlighted the friendly ties between Iran and Lebanon and vowed its full support for the Islamic Republic of Iran and the resistance front.
 
He referred to a previous meeting with the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei saying,” I will never forget the Leader’s support for the Armenian community in Iran.”
 
The senior Christian leader and Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon also related on the ninth round of Islam-Christianity interfaith meetings between Iran and Lebanon’s Armenian Church.
