Rashid Key Wanuka, manager of Islamic section on Uganda hailed Islamic revolution in Iran for speeding up the project for unifying Muslims and highlighted the role of late Imam Khomeini (RA) and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei in promoting the project.

Rashid Key Wanuka in an interview with Mohammadreza Ghezelsofla, Iran’s cultural attaché in Uganda, broadcasted live on the African country’s state television stressed the contrast between Qur'anic teachings and extremism and counted mutual respect, commitment to Islamic ethics, noting the plots by enemies as factors for materialization of Islamic unity, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 

He stressed the vital role of late Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Supreme Leader in establishing unity among Muslims and said," Islamic revolution has played a key role in unifying Muslims via launching the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought."
 
He said," Iran's 1979 revolution should be called "Islamic Revolution for Unity" and noted that the uprising sped up Islamic unity project.
 
Manager of the Islamic department in Uganda state television warned of Takfiris and Salafis targeting solidarity among Muslims and called the Takfiri movements as the most threatening challenge ahead of Muslim nation whose behavior is in contrast with lifestyle and teachings of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
