Iran’s Union of Muslim Sports Champion offers condolences over Beirut fatal blast

Iran’s Union of Muslim Sports Champion has issued a message to Lebanon’s Minister of Sports and Youth to offer condolences over the fatal blast in the port of Beirut which led to death of at least 177 people injuring nearly 6’000 others.


Mohammad Abbasi, President of the World Union of Muslim Sports Champions and Professionals has sent a message to Muhammad Fneish, Lebanon’s Minister of Sports and Youths to express deep regret over the massive blast in the capital Beirut slamming those behind the fatal explosion, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Mohammad Abbasi referred to the spirit of chivalry as a basic axis in formation of the union and extended his sympathy with the bereaved families of victims of the incident and highlighted the union’s support for the oppressed people across the globe.
 
“We hereby express our condolences to your Excellency, who are among valuable heroes of the Resistance Front and the honorable people of Lebanon, especially Hezbollah, the hero of Lebanon” noted Iran’s Mohammad Abbasi in part of his letter.
 
He also expressed hope that national solidarity in Lebanon and an atmosphere of regional empathy and brotherly peace will aid immediate healing of the pains created by the incident.
 
As a result of massive blast in the port of Beirut on August 4, 177 people have lost their lives, nearly 6,000 were injured and 300,000 became homeless. The blast has been ranked as the second fatal blast in the world.
