Huj. Shahriari issues condolence messages to Iraq jurisprudents

Top Iranian cleric has issued separate messages to Iraqi jurisprudents expressing condolences over US assassination of Lieutenant General Qassim Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Muhandis in Baghdad.


Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General of Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST), has sent separate messages to prominent Iraqi scholars vowing that the assassination of Iran’s top IRGC commander, Lieutenant General Soleimani and Hashd al-Sha’abi senior figure Abu Mahdi Muhandis will begin a new era for honor and unity of Muslims, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Top Iranian cleric in his message slammed the assassination of senior IRGC and Hashd al-Sha’abi commanders as a clear crime against Muslim world which vows beginning of a new era to boost honor and solidarity of Muslims.
 
He said,” Enemies of Islam had targeted unity of Iranian and Iraqi nation though the massive funeral held for General Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Muhandis led to multi-million turn up of the people in both countries for the same cause.”
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari sent separate condolence messages to Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Sistani, Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Es’haq Fayyaz, Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir Najafi, Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Saeed Hakim and Ayatollah Seyyed Kazem Haeri.
 
Early in the morning on January 3 car carrying Iran’s IRGC Commander of Quds Force, Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and commander of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Unites (PMU) Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis was targeted by US forces under the direct order of President Donald Trump.
 
The move has so far drawn international condemnation as General Soleimani has been widely known as the leading counter-terrorism figure cleansing Iraq and Syria from Daesh terrorists.
