Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, secretary general of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought attended the deputies meeting on the upcoming Islamic Unity Conference calling the annual event supportive of solidarity among Muslims, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Ayatollah Araki in this meeting hailed the Islamic Unity Conference for attracting members from across the world of Islam.
He stressed that the 33rd edition of the Islamic Unity Conference to be held more glorious than before calling those responsible for the event to spare no effort for that objective.
Mohammad Delbari will be in charge of leading the secretariat for 33rd Islamic Unity Conference which will be held in mid November in the Iranian capital of Tehran.
Hosted by Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Islamic Unity Conference is annually held in a three-day event concurrent with the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) dubbed by the late founder of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khomeini (RA) as Islamic Unity Week.
520 religious figures, intellectuals and thinkers attended the 32nd Islamic Unity Conference which included 16 different programs and 9 committees besides the general assembly’s meeting.
