Mashhad hosts int’l conference on Imam Reza (AS)

Iranian northeastern city of Mashhad is hosting international conference on the high character of Imam Reza (AS), eighth Shia Imam and grandchild of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and the scientific movements on the world of Islam.

International conference on “Imam Reza (AS) and the scientific-civilization movement of Muslim world” is underway in Mashhad, northeastern province of Khorasan Razavi, attended by intellectuals from across the globe, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The two-day conference is the 12^th of the series of conferences held by Al-Mustafa University in Mashhad held in cooperation with foundation of Islamic studies at Astan-e Quds, bureau of culture and Islamic guidance and also international bureaus of Al-Mustafa university in Lebanon and Indonesia.

The conference aims to introduce the leadership and jurisprudence of Imam Reza (AS) and also familiarization of the academic figures with the scientific heritage of the Islamic civilization.

The conference also aims to select 30 best articles submitted to the secretariat of the conference five to be awarded during the event.

The opening ceremony and three commissions are scheduled to be held on Wednesday February 20^th.
