Sheikh Mahdi al-Samide’ei, senior Sunni cleric has issued a statement referring to preparation of the parliament to pass bill on withdrawal of the foreign forces in Iraq stressing unity as key for success of the people against enemies, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” Iraqi nation will cooperate with each other and through the parliament will pass and carry out the bill for withdrawal of the foreign forces from their country.”
 
The Sunni cleric also underlined necessity of unity among Iraqi nation calling that as the sole effective weapon against occupation of the country.
 
Representatives of different Iraqi parties have voiced their support for finalizing the bill which will approve, once passed, withdrawal of the foreign forces, mainly US troops, from the country.
 
According to the Iraqi members of parliament the bill is based on the first and fifth paragraph of the constitution based on independence and sovereignty of Iraq.
 
US forces invaded Iraq in 2003 under the pretext of campaign against Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) leaving the country in 2011 over several failures to return to the Arab country in 2014 this time under the pretext of fighting Daesh leading a de facto international coalition.
