Al-Saud beheads righteousness

Al-Saud beheads righteousness
Sheikh Sohaib Habli, renowned Sunni scholar from Lebanon attended the third passing anniversary of Sheikh Nimr al Nimr, late Shia leader from Saudi Arabia denouncing the Arab kingdom for beheading the righteous people, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Lebanese cleric in his remarks said,” People in the Arab peninsula should follow the role model of Sheikh Nimr al Nimr and voice their opposition with the Arab kingdom.”

According to the Lebanese figure Saudi Arabia executed the Shia scholar due to its intolerance to a different viewpoint and stand against a brave person in pursuit of justice for all people.”

Sheikh Sohaib Habli hailed the late Saudi scholar Sheikh Nimr as a brave and revolutionary role model and said,” Jihad and martyrdom of Sheikh Nimr is a clear reason for those who took silence and a shame for oppressive claimants of human rights.”

He added that Saudi regime meant to send the message of horror among opposition leaders and to stress its Takfiri strategy to widen the gap among Muslims.

The cleric counted strengthening Islamic unity, not submitting to fearful violent behaviors and also empowerment of religious figures as proper reaction to such messages.

Sheikh Nimr Baqer al-Nimr (1959-2016) was a prominent Shia cleric and opposition figure to Saudi regime calling for free elections and justice in the Arab country. His arrest and execution by the regime sparked massive protests across the country, Arab and Muslim world.
