Top Iraqi official attended the ceremony for anniversary of defeating Daesh calling that the brainchild of terrorism hailing Iran and Iraq as members of unified Islamic Ummah (nation.)

Yassin Sharif al-Saif, Consul General of Iraq attended the celebration for anniversary of Daesh withdrawal from Iraq hailed the all-out defense of Iraqi nation against terrorist Daesh group stressing Iran and Iraq as brother countries and members of the unified Islamic nation, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He referred to the intrigues hatched by enemies to tarnish the fraternal ties between Iran and Iraq, particularly during Arba’een ceremonies and hailed the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and top Iraqi jurisprudent Ayatollah Ali Sistani for foiling the hostile plots.
 
“Enemies of the two countries, Iran and Iraq, struggled to prevent the multi-million participation of the people in Arba’een ceremonies though Iraqi consulate bureaus issued over two millions visas to fulfill the demands of all pilgrims enthusiastic to attend the ceremony.
 
Yassin Sharif al-Saif also praised Islamic Republic of Iran for its constant support for Iraq and the military advices it provided for the neighboring Arab country during Daesh invasion.
