Prayer leader of Zahedan stresses:

“Chabahr terrorist attack meant to undermine economic plans for region”

Prominent Iranian cleric in the Iranian southeastern Province of Sistan and Baluchistan slammed the terrorist attack in the police headquarter stressing that the move meant to show the region as insecure.

Ayatollah Abbasali Soleimani, prayer leader of Zahedan, Sistan and Baluchistan Province, in his Friday sermon noted that the terrorist attack in police headquarter meant to show the region as insecure in a bid to shatter the plans for economic promotion of the city, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He slammed enemies for taking any opportunity to expand division in Iran demanding the Iranian nation to stand vigil against hostile endeavors.
 
He referred to strategic importance of Chabahar and said,” Chabahar port city has brought a unique opportunity for regional countries due to its special geographical location ranking that a priority for investments made by neighboring countries to the point that the region has been excluded from the US sanctions.”
 
The cleric noted,” Since Chabahar has been exempted from the US economic sanctions, several developing countries are competing for investments in the Iranian strategic port city provoking enemies to target the region for terrorist attack to undermine further economic promotion.”
 
Iranian cleric highlighted importance of boosting solidarity between the Shia and Sunni communities and hailed their unanimous denunciation of the attack.
