“Interfaith proximity settles global issues.”
Hujjat-ul-Islam Seyyed Ali Fadhl Allah, prayer leader in southern Lebanon, met with Italian thinkers stressing capabilities of interfaith dialogue in resolving regional and global issues, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He expressed regret over assassination of Paolo Dall’Oglio, Italian interfaith activist, by terrorist movements in Syria and hailed him for contributing his life for proximity between religions.

Friday prayer leader of Beirut reiterated proximity of religions amid the present situation in the world and a way to spread peace and friendship among nations.

“World people should familiarize with different religions through accredited resources since misconceptions on other religions will eventually lead to tension among people” said the Muslim cleric.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Fadhl Allah counted resolving the issues of people, spread of peace and affection among world nations as final objectives of religions.

He highlighted necessity of unity among followers of different religions to confront war, massacre of civilians, threats of disintegration and noted the high capability of Lebanon to expand interfaith dialogue since the country is home to different religious thoughts.
