Senior Iranian cleric Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri said “the Unity and vigilance of Muslim nations was the greatest achievement of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, which has revived and promoted the awakening trend all across the globe."

“World arrogant [mainly the United States] has set three important goals on the onset of the 20th century,” Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, the supreme leaders cultural advisor said at a press conference in Tehran. 

The chairman of the committee of Islamic religion proximity of the ten-day dawn headquarter said that  global arrogant powers, [led by the United States] primarily aimed at breaking the unity of Muslim nations into pieces and planned to block the improvement of Muslims in all fields while trying to shore up secularism in Muslim communities; and of course, they made great achievements. 

The Ayatollah said that the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979 led by Ayatollah Khomeini [the late founder of the Islamic Revolution] was a crushing response given by Muslim nations to the arrogants. 

He said that the Islamic Revolution had fruitful consequences. On one hand, the slogan of Islamic unity was promoted and has given insight to the nation ; and has pushed the Muslim nation to put up for the backwardness suffered for ages. Meanwhile, the Islamic Revolution has reunited religion and politics. 

The Islamic revolution in Iran was a shot in the arm of other regional nations, sparking similar movements seen in Palestine and Lebanon, the senior cleric added.
