Iranian religious jurisprudent Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazie hailed Iranian nation for massive participation in the journey to mark and mourn the martyrdom of infallible Imam Hussein (PBUH), reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The religious cleric placed emphasis on the significant role of Karbala trajedy in Muslims' life and the World of Islam stressing, "Religious clerics for guiding people should give their consummate attention to the doctrine of Imam Hussein (PBUH)."

"Regarding the impact of Ashura's message, people from all sects partake massively in mourning ceremonies during Muharram," highlighted the senior cleric.
