Arba’een, global convention of liberals
Hujjat-ul-Islam Seyyed Ali Ghazi Askar, representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj affairs, stressed Arba’een potentiality to revive popular motivation to stand against oppression hailing the ceremony as gathering of world liberals, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” The epic of Imam Hussein mobilizes world liberal people from all religions and denominations in a unified body against injustice and oppression.”

The cleric underlined participation of Sunni community and non-Muslims in the massive Shia meeting and called for moves to highlight the objectives behind the pilgrimage.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Ghazi Askar also lauded the affection and cooperation of those attending Arba’een ceremony calling that as one of the greatest aspects of the annual meeting.

Representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj affairs counted Ahlul Bayt (AS), household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) as the ceremony even for the Sunni community, a fact which has foiled all minor differences between Islamic denominations participating in Arba’een.

Arba’een is the anniversary of 40th day after martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) martyred in the Battle of Karbala fighting the tyrant of his time Yazid ibn Muawiya.
