Iranian top cleric sends message to the third International Qur'an competitions of the university students, highlighting the high status of the holy book of Islam to the point that even non Muslim thinker pays tribute to the divine scripture. 

Grand jurisprudence Ayatollah Nasser Makareme Shirazi in a message to the third international Qur'an competition of university students congratulated holding such competitions and hailed the high status of the holy Qur'an, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA). 

Ayatollah Nasser Makareme Shirazi said," In fact Qur'an is the book of light and guidance; hence it leads its followers towards the ultimate light which is God Almighty and saves one from the darkness and danger of the distractions and traps of the Devil. 

"High status and the glory of the holy Qur'an is to the point that even impartial non-Muslims intelliectuals have bowed in front of its glory", said Iranian top cleric quoting Shebli Shamil Maadi when he said, "I am not a Muslim but how can I reject its firm wise verses?" 

Iranian jurisprudence in this message stressed the importance of memorizing, reciting and reading this holy Book respectfully and said," Do not forget that the final aim is pondering and practicing the guidelines of Qur'an." 

Ayatollah Makarem expressed his pleasure over the presence of university students from around the world and called the participants of the competition as the honor of the world of Islam.
