Cleric warns of plots to divide Shia Muslims

Top Iranian cleric warned of plots to divide Shia communities on the eve of Ashura ceremonies.


Hujjat-ul-Islam Danesh, professor at Qom Seminary, warned of plots to divide Shia Muslims stressing necessity of knowledge on the third Shia Imam to foil hostile plots, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He noted the concerns of arrogant powers from Islamic Revolution since the uprising meant to prevail justice among people.
 
Iranian cleric made the remarks on threshold of Ashura, martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
 
Millions of Shias across the globe participate in the ceremonies to commemorate Ashura, martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) and 72 of his companions and family members in the Battle of Karbala back in 680 AD.
 
Imam Hussein (AS) has set an example for fighting injustice and uprising against tyrants.
