The Arab League rapped US recent decision to terminate funding for UNRWA, the UN Palestinian refugee agency, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

“Washington will be accountable for the great damages caused by such decision to around some five million refugees dependent on the aid provided by this agency,” pointed out Arab League Secretary-General said.  

Ahmed Aboul-Gheit went on to say, "US decision will not only damage the refugees, but the host countries." 

"The decision," he said, "complicates the standing problems in the region and is a hurdle to ensuring peace and security."
