Islamic movements, in recent years, have happened in Arab world to be dubbed as ‘Islamic Awakening’ or ‘Arab Spring’ have brought questions to minds on the origins of the moves, parties involved in and the leading figures supporting them. Iranian author, Seyyed Hadi Khosrowshahi, has released his latest book “Islamic Awakening in Tunisia and Rashid al Ghannoushi” to shed more light on the objectives of the Islamic movement in Tunisia and role of leading figure in the beginning cultural and political movement which overthrew the oppressive system in the Arab country, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Following the Islamic awakening in the Middle East and northern Africa, topple of the dictatorship of Bin Ali in a popular uprising of the Tunisians, the role of Ennehda Movement came into focus for many researchers and political commentators.
 
“Islamic Awakening in Tunisia and Rashid al Ghannoushi” is in seven sections the first one on Rashid al Ghannouchi and objectives of the Islamic movement in Tunisia. The second on development of the Islamic movement and facts on that quoted from an interview with al Ghannouchi.
 
Expanding close ties with Ennehda Movement and Rashid al Ghannouchi, Iranian author and researcher, Seyyed Hadi Khosrowshahi, has also translated a book on Islamic Revolution by the Tunisian political figure.
