Takfiri approach targeting Muslim unity

As the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur hosts international thinkers from across the globe, participants to the one-day event slammed Takfiri groups for providing their reading of Islam as the true understanding of the holy religion to world people hence tarnishing the image of Muslims in the global arena, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The conference in the International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies was attended by a number of Islamic intellectuals, Religious Affairs deputy of Malaysia, Iranian cultural attaché and researchers and university students.

Professor Ruslan Muhamad Noor, deputy of Islamic researches from Malaya University, in this meeting, said,” Takfiri extremists introduce their reading of Islam as the sole true version and violently deny all other people.”

He slammed Takfiri groups for damaging solidarity of Muslims and their constant efforts to disperse all Islamic denominations.

Mohammad Abubakr, lecturer from (University of Amway Malaysia) UAM called Islam as religion of blessings and peace for world people while Takfiri approach has misrepresented that as religion of violence.

He reiterated the role of Muslim scholars in introducing Islam to world people stressing necessity of dialogue between scholars from different denominations to boost solidarity of Muslims.

Malaysian academician also underlined the mission of Islamic figures to shed more light on true Islam, preventing deviations and disagreements and providing the grounds for solidarity between Islamic denominations.
