Iran aces Asia Zurkhaneh, Palahvani Wrestling C’ship

The sixth edition of the sportive event was held in Tanauan City of the Philippines from December 19-24, 2017 with the Iranian outfit standing on top of the podium for the sixth consecutive time.

In the tournament held in Gymnasium 1 Sports Hall, the Iranian squad claimed a gold medal in team event and five out of six gold trophies in individual skills.

The Iranian wrestlers also seized two gold medals, two silvers and one bronze in Koshti Pahlaveani.
Persian wrestlers were followed by Iraqi rivals who bagged the silver medal overall. The third position in the ranking table was jointly occupied by Nepal and the Philippines.
