Israeli PM accuses Erdogan of killing people

11 Dec 2017 - 11:47

Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has accused Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of killing innocent people stressing that Tel Aviv will not be lectured by the likes of Erdogan.

Netanyahu made the remarks during a press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on Sunday, in response to Erdogan's censuring of the “disproportionate” force being used by Israelis against Palestinian protesters.

Palestine is currently the scene of clashes which broke out over US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem al-Quds as Israel’s capital.

"I am not used to receiving lectures about morality from a leader who bombs Kurdish villagers in his native Turkey, who jails journalists... and who helps terrorists kill innocent people," said Netanyahu.

"That is not the man who is going to lecture us," he added.
On Wednesday, Trump announced his decision to recognize Jerusalem al-Quds as Israel’s capital and relocate the US embassy in the occupied lands from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem al-Quds.

The dramatic shift in Washington’s Jerusalem al-Quds policy triggered demonstrations in the occupied Palestinian territories, Iran, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Iraq, Morocco and other Muslim countries.
