Weakening Islamic unity, arrogant powers’ objective to mastermind Daesh

Ayatollah Mohammad Hussein Ahmadi, senior Iranian cleric, warned that creation of Wahhabi movement by the arrogant powers was to divide Shia and Sunni Muslims and hailed the history of fraternal ties between Islamic denominations, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” Basically, arrogant powers have targeted solidarity of Muslims before masterminding Wahhabism” and added,” Rather than that Shia and Sunni communities have always respected each other’s ideologies and religious occasions.”

The cleric noted,” Enemies have found Islamic unity as the biggest threat; therefore, started to undermine the fraternity and Islamic solidarity by launching Wahhabism.”

Ayatollah Ahmadi rejected the deduction by Wahhabi scholars as baseless and said,” What is clear is that all Muslims paid special respect to Shia Imams buried in Baq’i (cemetery in Medina where many Shia Imams and companions of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) are buried) and there has been no instant of disrespect or opposition against that.”

8^th of Shawwal is the anniversary of demolition of graves of Ahlul Bayt (AS) back in 1344H (1925) in Baq’i cemetery in Medina by Wahhabis.
