Global hegemonic policies, major reason behind predicaments

Sheikh Ahmad al Tayyeb, prominent mufti in Al Azhar University, met with members of the European Parliament and stressed prevalence of peace across the globe as the only solution for issues slaming global hegemonic policies for fueling clashes in the world, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” War and current clashes in the region have intensified poverty and educational and sanitary issues among people.”

Ahmad al Tayyeb highlighted dialogue as a solution for prevalence of world peace and stressed,” Al Azhar calls world rulers and religious leaders in the Vatican, World Council of Churches and Canterbury Cathedral to put an end to all issues brought by global hegemony.”

Representative of the EU in this meeting hailed the high status of Egypt as the greatest religious reference for world Muslims and praised the messages of Al Azhar professors in navigating humane values.

He stressed,” Europe is in need of Al Azhar grand mufti to launch interfaith dialogues and expansion of global peace.”
