Iranian top Sunni cleric called thoughts by extremist groups as anti-Islamic warning that their beliefs will annihilate the holy religion.

Akhoond Abdul Baset Nourizad, prayer leader of the Sunni community in Gonbad-e Kavus, attended the conference on Takfir (excommunication) and mission of Muslim scholars slamming the groups belief allowing the bloodshed of other Muslims, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He noted Takfiri and extremist crimes as the current issues in the world of Islam, particularly for Muslim scholars.
 
The Sunni cleric called extremist thoughts anti-Islamic and said,” These groups easily issue statement excommunicating their opposite as atheist or non-believers.”
 
He called Islam as a perfect and active religion which will heal human societies from its sufferings.”
 
Akhoond Abdul Baset Nourizad also hailed such conferences as influential for notifying the people against threats.
