The Winners of the 33rd national Qur'an competition were announced and honored in a ceremony mounted in Gilan Province, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The Qur'an consists in its 114 chapters, the total of revelations, as believed to have been communicated to Prophet Mohammad who was believed to be illiterate, as the final expression of Allah’s will and purpose for man. Iran is hosting the 33rd national Qur'an competition in Gilan Province.
The categories of the Quranic event also include Tarteel and Tahghigh recitation of the Quran, memorization, and Adhan (call to prayers).
Qur'an has been the source of Iran's revolution and hence the framework of the constitution. Given that, Iran pave ways for Muslims to know much better about Quranic teachings and instructions.
The 33rd national Qur'an competition kicked off on Sunday in Zibakenar, with 750 Quran activists including 450 men and 300 women in attendance. The Competitions continue in other categories for a few more days.
