Massacre of civilians, major strategy for Saudi Arabia

Senior cleric expressed regret over Saudi invasion of funeral ceremony in Yemen which has led to killing of hundreds of civilians saying that massacre of the people is a major strategy by Saudi Arabia in order to break the resistance of the people.

Grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought attended the press conference for the 26th anniversary of launching the center denouncing the recent Saudi strike on a funeral ceremony in Sana’a stressing massacre as a strategy by the Arab kingdom to break the resistance of Yemeni nation, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” Saudi Arabia struggles to impose its policies on the Yemeni nation through massacre in a bid to turn the country into a colony for itself serving interests of the US and Zionist regime of Israel.”
 
The cleric hailed 18 months of resistance by Yemeni people and called perseverance as the best reaction against invasions until full victory is achieved.
 
He noted,” Grand catastrophes have gone up to now but the biggest calamity is to submit against the enemies.”
 
He added,” These massacres and intrigues are in fact a part of the programs planned by the US and Zionist regime of Israel.”
 
Saudi jet fighters, in their most recent crimes, targeted a funeral ceremony in the Yemeni capital of Sana’a which has led to over 700 civilians dead or injured. Rescue workers have also been targeted twice while transferring the bodies of victims.
