'Founding social networks is of tasks upon Iran top unity body'
"The World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought has made great stride in the proximity area and one of the strategies to advancing the set objectives in the realm of unity is establishing social networks," underlined Ayatollah Araki.

In a press conference held on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the establishment of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki beckoned to the steps had been taken for promoting unity among Muslims nations and actualizing rapprochement among Muslim nations, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
President of Iran top unity center underlined,"the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought has made great stride in the proximity area and one of the strategies to advancing the set objectives in the realm of unity is establishing social networks with union and non-union orientation."
Of those, the grand Ayatollah named the union of Resistance Ulimah, Global Association of Muslim Women, the "Love Muhammad (PBUH)" Channel which all consisted of Muslims youth in the World of Islam.
Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought also beckoned to the necessity establishing some local communities and other proximity related channels which are on high on the agenda.
"Founding a center for holding inter-faith centers in holy city of Qom is another objective to be accomplished by the world Forum so as to provide the way for religious thinkers and elites to gather and open dialogue for sorting out unresolved setback in the World of Islam," underscored the grand Ayatollah.
"Extending the University of Islamic sects and denominations in and out of the county is another mission upon the unity World Forum," highlighted the grand Ayatollah stressing up to here major strides had been made.
Ayatollah Araki beckoned to the current situation in which the Islamic society is wrestling with many a setback expressing his sincere hope that in the future the World Forum would put an end to such plagued condition.
According to Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, Masaei Hamideh Committee (Honorable effort committee) has been established and is responsible to sort out such problems paving the way for boosting unity in the World of Islam.
Established in 1989 following a recommendation by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the WFPIST aims to promote unity among followers of all Islamic schools of thought, and has held international conferences on Islamic Unity every year since then.
The WFPIST was commissioned to promote unity among the followers of the entire Islamic schools of thought, and has been holding the International Islamic Unity Conferences every year ever since then, during the Unity Week which marks the auspicious birth anniversary of the Prophet of Islam, based on the Shiite and the Sunni schools of thought.
