“Arbaeen, manifest of humane unity”: cleric
Hujjat-ul-Islam Gholamreza Abazari, Iran’s cultural counselor in Iraq, in an interview with ISNA News Agency hailed Arbaeen (anniversary of 40th   day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) third Shia Imam) as a manifest of solidarity among people from different nationalities and denominations, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He praised Iraqi people for their hospitality of Imam Hussein (AS) pilgrims contrary to the issues they are challenging including war, US occupation of the country and ISIL terrorist group hailing their efforts to warmly receive people from across the globe.

He said the ceremony should not be held in a way that some take it as a Shia occasion noting,” Convention of people with different languages and ethnicities is a reason for unifying feature of the incident.”

The cleric said,” Arbaeen is the time when people from across the globe get together to move towards a single target while the Iraqi nation accept them all indiscriminately not demanding their nationality or denomination.”

He stressed,” Our efforts are focused on maintaining solidarity of all pilgrims because rather than the Shia comprising the majority of pilgrims, Sunni Muslims as well as the Christians are among the participants in the ceremony.”

Iranian scholar highlighted Arbaeen as a manifest of humane unity when commitment to human rights is prioritized over everything else.

“We should prevent any form of disunity since Arbaeen is a unifying event” said Hujjat-ul-Islam Abazari and added,” Where else in the world can you find hosts warmly admitting and serving guests for free and without knowing them at all?”

Iranian scholar stressed necessity of providing the grounds for people from different parts of the world and with different denominations to attend the event.
