Islamic civil engineering, new topic in Muslim world

Top Iranian cleric met with members of the board of World Assembly of Islamic Cities and called Islamic civil engineering as a new topic in the world of Islam.

Grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, met with members of the World Assembly of Islamic Cities in the holy city of Qom, Iran, and noted Islamic city has a soul and a body in coordination with each other, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Ayatollah Araki stressed Fiq’h aspect of civil engineering as an important topic and said,” A city in Islamic view has a particular nature and soul and this soul and life are quite different from the present cities in Islamic countries.”
 
He noted that Fiq’h of civil engineering is a deductive, specialized and religious topic.
 
The cleric said that according to Fiq’h of civil engineering, none of the present cities can be counted as Islamic though there are Islamic architectures in them.
 
He stressed that the most important mission for the World Assembly of Islamic Cities is to create a pilot Islamic city where all the present issues of cities are solved and citizens will grow healthy both in their body and their spirit.
