The head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council noted the intense campaign against the Islamic Resistance by certain Arab regimes and stressed that the cost of Israel’s 33-Day War against Hezbollah was paid by some Arab rulers.

In an interview with Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen television network on the anniversary of Lebanon’s 2006 33-Day War with Israel, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Hashim Safieddin, the head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council, said that this war was a conspiracy against Hezbollah and added that some Arab states called on the United States to destroy the Islamic Resistance because they didn’t have the ability to fight and defeat Hezbollah’s forces and couldn’t politically or militarily counter the Resistance Axis.
The Lebanese Shi’a cleric added that the US isn’t willing to pay billions of dollars to the Zionist regime to destroy the Resistance but these Arab governments paid for the 33-Day War, adding, “The intense media, political and financial campaign against Hezbollah indicates that we are in a crucial period and corrupt systems of government are on the verge of collapse.”
He said the American-Arab-Western project uses Takfiri terrorists as a means to destroy the Resistance Axis and by engaging this Axis in Syria, they can protect the security of the Zionist regime. “If we can eliminate this project, we’ll witness the impediment of the US’ reach in the region,” he said.
Hezbollah is prepared to fight Takfiris and Zionists on two fronts
Hujjat al-Islam Safieddin pointed out that Hezbollah’s preparedness to fight the Zionist regime is not affected by the presence of the party in Syria and added that Hezbollah is completely prepared to fight the Zionist regime on two fronts to defend Lebanon and its people.
“Hezbollah’s situation is much better than in 2006 and the Zionists are afraid to admit that they are afraid of the Islamic Resistance,” he stressed.
The senior member of Hezbollah continued, saying, “The name of Hezbollah has been damaged because of its presence in Syria, however the party doesn’t become weakened with such issues. The perception of many Arab personalities and parties in Syria in regard to Hezbollah has changed over their presence in Syria, and this factor is hopeful.”
Hujjat al-Islam Safieddin emphasized the non-religious nature of the conflict in Syria and said some media outlets, accompanied by “court scholars,” have tried hard to present the war in Syria as a religious war, but the reality is something else.
The understanding of the Takfiris and their plots have changed in relation to the past and people have become familiar with the facts. The Takfiri terrorists’ slaughter of people and crimes in Arab and Western countries have resulted in the truth becoming clearer by the day but we shouldn’t expect the realities of this sedition to become obvious too quickly.
The head of Hezbollah’s political council noted that Hezbollah has given a logical response to Saudi Arabia’s campaign against the Resistance, saying, “Can a sane and rational human being remain silent in the face of the crimes committed by Saudi Arabia in Yemen? What religious logic allows one to remain silent over Saudi Arabia’s crimes against peaceful protesters in Bahrain?”
Hujjat al-Islam Safieddin explained that Saudi Arabia always says that Iran and Hezbollah aren’t seeking a political solution in Syria while they’ve been focused from day one on finding a political solution in Syria.
“Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia wanted a military war in Syria and has funded and armed terrorists in this country. This country is conspiring against Hezbollah day and night and we are defending ourselves,” the cleric noted.
