Days of Dignity initiatives of Iran's Islamic Republic
Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami said the “Days of Dignity,” which mark the eleven days between the birth anniversaries of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah and her brother Imam Ali al-Ridha, is one of the initiatives of the sacred system of the Islamic Republic.

Speaking at a ceremony commemorating Hadhrat Ahmad ibn Musa Shahcheragh in Shiraz, Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami said the “Days of Dignity,” which mark the eleven days between the birth anniversaries of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah and her brother Imam Ali al-Ridha, is one of the initiatives of the sacred system of the Islamic Republic.
The temporary Friday prayer leader of Tehran said that if the imperial powers of the world knew the Islamic Revolution would be victorious and would become a leader in the world, they wouldn’t have allowed the Islamic Revolution to grow and today, all the conspiracies by the enemies against Iran can’t damage the strong Islamic Revolution, reported Rasa.
Ayatollah Khatami said that the imperial powers seek to destroy the Islamic Revolution and Islam in general and use the nuclear issue and human rights as an excuse because they know that Iran isn’t after an atomic bomb and in regard to the case of human rights, they’re also on the forefront of violating their own people’s rights and those of many other countries throughout the world.
His Eminence said the public, especially politicians, need to know that we can’t compromise with the imperial powers and the enemies in regard to issues such as the JCPOA.
“Our people and international observers saw that Iran has abided by all of its obligations and has implemented the JCPOA but the other side has not abided by any of their obligations and their words are just games,” he said.
The teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom noted that through these games, the enemies thought they could reduce Iran’s power but their lack of commitment to their principles is clear to everyone.
Referring to Iran’s missile maneuvers concurrent with the JCPOA, Ayatollah Khatami said that these maneuvers were meant to show that Iran negotiates from a position of strength and not weakness and abides by its contracts and commitments and if they are unfaithful and break their contracts, we will set the JCPOA on fire.
