Iran top cleric hails Sheikh al-Azhar for his recent call

Islamic Jurisprudent Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi sided by Sheikh al-Azhar Ahmed Muhammad Ahmed el-Tayeb backing his call on Shia and Sunni Muslims to disavow terrorism and the crimes against humanity, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

"The decree provides the way for preventing carnage of Muslims and Islamophobia masterminded by ignorant westerners," point out the grand Ayatollah.

The Grand Imam of al-Azhar in his recent released decree invited all religious leaders including Shia or Sunni thinkers to unanimously disavow the crimes perpetrated against humanity and the atrocities being systematically commited by the extremist groups.

Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi hailed the move stressing, "al-Azhar has always called for promoting proximity among Shia and Sunni Muslims and made great achievements to this end."

Along with Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi , other Iranian religious clerics and thinkers lauded the stance and believe such initiative would prevent carnage of innocent Muslims and subsequently prevent promotion of Islamophobia masterminded by the west .

"The move lays the way for people across the World to know the real Islam and understand extrimist measures are prohibited by the divine religion," highlighted Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi.
