Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki received a delegation comprising Izadi clerics along with Sunni and Shiite thinkers of Iraq opening talks over present political turmoil in the war-hit country, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The grand Ayatollah expressed his sympathy with Iraqi nations over the current crises they are mired in against Takfiri group of DAESH hailing the country for breeding well-education, elite and thinkers during human recorded history.

Beckoned to criminal measures of extremist groups in some countries, Ayatollah Araki  expressed his sincere hope that in the future the country would secure peace and bring tranquility.

Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought untie any claimed tie between the Takfiri groups and the divine religion of Islam stressing the religion has nothing to do with these criminals.

The latest figures released by the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq show a total of 867 Iraqis were killed and 1,459 others injured in acts of terrorism, violence and armed conflict in May.

According to the UN mission, the number of civilian fatalities stood at 468. Violence also claimed the lives of 399 members of the Iraqi security forces. A great portion of the fatalities was recorded in Baghdad, where 267 civilians were killed.
