Fifth Conference of OIC health ministers kicks off

The fifth Conference of Health Ministers of Organization of Islamic Cooperation kicked off in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Iranian delegation led by Deputy Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education for International Affairs Mohsen Assadi Lari attended the conference.

The Conference aims to consider reports about implementation of decisions and recommendations of the 4th meeting of the ministers held in Jakarta, Indonesia, in 2013.

The Conference will also review role of Non-Governmental Organizations in carrying out the OIC strategic plan of action in the field of health and sanitation of OIC.

The Conference is held biennially with aim to consider issues related to health and sanitation in the Islamic countries.
