Prominent Iranian cleric slammed the dual stance of the west in reaction two simultaneous terror attacks in Lebanon and France calling that a controversial behavior and a miscalculation by the west.

Ayatollah Abbas Ka’abi, representative of Iran’s Southern Khouzestan Province in the Parliament in an interview with RASA News Agency referred to the recent terror attacks in Paris saying that the media coverage of the incidents and the horror atmosphere which has engulfed Europe and the US proves the failure of the west in its strategy of creating horror among nations, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said,” Daesh and Takfiri (excommunication) movements are following a strategy of creating global chaos and brutality.” and added that the terrorist groups are brainchildren of the west in order to confront Islam, the Islamic resistance movement, defaming Jihad and also to expand Islamophobia.
Member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, noted that the west is repeating a previous mistake and referred to formation of Takfiri and Al Qaeda to confront Russia in Afghanistan attack and it was through the same terrorist group that 9/11 happened.
He added,” Today the west is repeating a previous mistake because organization, financial support, diplomatic ties and deployment of forces against Islamic resistance in Syria and Iraq was what they sowed and current issues are what they are reaping.”
Iranian MP noted that the west is not determined enough to confront terrorism and said,” Western countries have two classification of good and bad for terrorism; hence, on the one hand they have miscalculated their capabilities to confront terrorism and on the other hand they are facing ideological controversies.”
In view of the Iranian cleric the west recognizes human rights and democracy to be an advantage only for itself and slams terrorism only when it targets western countries.
“In a simultaneous move by the west, media covered the terror attacks in France while similar incident in Beirut was censored.” said the scholar saying that the only solution to the issue is that the west stops its supports for terrorism and Takfiri groups which have indiscriminately plagued the people across the globe.
