Kuwait Justice Minister:

"Shia Sunni unity is our red line."

Kuwaiti minister stressed solidarity of Shia Sunni community in the country announcing new religious approaches to spread moderate thoughts in the Arab state.

Yaqoub Al-Sane, Kuwait Minister of Justice, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, noted that the terror attacks in this country have not undermined unity between Shia and Sunni community, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The minister called Kuwait a country committed to laws without any trace of sectarianism and Shia Sunni citizens in this country have lived in full coexistence during the past three centuries.
 
He referred to June 2015 bombing attack against Imam Sadeq (AS) Shia Mosque which has led to 27 dead and 227 injured saying the ceremony to tribute the Shia victims was held in a Sunni mosque stressing the solidarity of the Islamic denominations contrary to efforts hostile to both sides.
 
"We meant to remind the world that Islamic unity is our red line." said the Kuwaiti official stressing that Islamic solidarity in Kuwait cannot be undermined by anyone.
 
Yaqoub Al-Sane announced new religious approaches and programs scheduled for the mosques across Kuwait in a bid to prevent extremist thoughts and spread moderate ideologies among the people.
