Top Lebanese cleric attending annual meeting of the supreme council of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, stressed the issues created in the world of Islam is to uproot the resistance and misuse of religion for political benefits.

Sheikh Naim Qassem, deputy of Hezbollah, stressed that the issues in the world of Islam to be political hurdles made by the foreign countries rather than religious issues between Shia and Sunni communities, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He noted," The issues in Muslim states including Libya, Tunisia, Syria, Egypt and Iraq have political rather than religious nature."
 
Member of the World Forum Supreme Council referred," Some are in ambush to disintegrate Syria in order to omit it from the supporters of Palestine and the resistance, turn it to a friend of the Zionist regime of Israel."
 
Hezbollah deputy hailed the efforts by the Islamic Republic of Iran to boost proximity across the world of Islam praising the clear stance of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on necessity of Shia Sunni unity quoting the renowned fatwa by His Eminence forbidding the desecration of Sunni sanctities.
 
Sheikh Naim Qassim highlighted importance of a new equation for more proximity among Muslim states and urging for more talks between leaders of different Islamic denominations in a bid to provide the true unifying image of Islam.
Lebanese cleric also demanded for creation of a link between scholars and leaders of different denominations to exchange views in line with alleviation of religious tensions.
 
186th meeting of the supreme council of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought was held in the Lebanese capital of Beirut directed by grand Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri.
 
Participated by grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and other members of the Supreme Council, strategies, schedules and perspectives of the center were discussed in this meeting.
