Indonasian official hails Iran as axis of Islamic unity

Former Indonasian MP praised Islamic Republic of Iran as the axis of Islamic unity in the world expressing his country’s readiness to help Iran in line with its proximity efforts.

In a meeting between Iran’s Hujjat-ul-Islam Zamani, international affairs deputy of the Parliament, Hujjat-ul-Islam Mesbahi Moghaddam, Member of Parliament and Indonesia’s Omar Shahab, former chairman of Scholars’ Parliament, Indonesian MP vowed to help Iran in line with its unifying efforts in a bid to expand the views of the world people on Shia, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Indonesian religious figure stressed importance of maintaining Islam in his country and said that their policy is to maintain unity even with the Arab states which take anti-Islamic measures.
 
He said,” In Indonesia, protection of Islam is the main policy to the point that we never involve a clash even with our opposite side.” And added,”Those who take measures agaisn a certain religion, are not in fact truly informed about that or what they are talking about.”
 
Highlighting the role of Iran in maintaining solidarity among Muslims, Indonesian religiou elite vowed for taking proximity steps in a bid to confront the present ignorance of the people on Shia.
